About Us

Eastern Nebraska Baptist Association
is an ever expanding increasingly diverse group of healthy
cooperating Baptist churches who are radiating the Light of
the World across the heartland and around the globe

for the purpose of seeing lives transformed.

Ever expanding means that we are always assisting in
planting new churches and aggressively pursuing the resources
needed to accomplish the task: manpower, dollars, facilities, etc.

Increasingly diverse acknowledges that our area is becoming
more ethnically and culturally diverse and it will take all kinds of
churches to reach all kinds of people. God, in His infinitely
creativemanner, has and will plant and grow churches in
many ways.

Healthy churches require healthy leadership; therefore, we will
place a priority on encouraging, equipping, and resourcing
pastorsand church leaders. The association will be proactive
in providing assistance and resources at critical times in the
life of the local church (during interims, during conflict, etc.).

Cooperating churches value working together so that genuine
synergy (the sum of the whole is greater than the sum of the
individual parts) takes place. They are the churches willing
“to pay the price” in time (fellowship, planning, etc.) and
resources (facilities, personnel, finances, etc.)

Baptist churches share a distinctive theology and have a
passionto be Biblically based. Any pride does not derive
from our name, our history, or our strength, but from our
passion to be Biblically correct.

Radiating the Light of the World refers to our principal
methodologyof being a regenerate, transformational, and
evangelizing people. Our desire is to be viewed by others
as those who love the Lordwith all our heart and who love
their neighbors as ourselves.

The Light of the World—Jesus Christ the Son of God—is our
source of salvation and power, the model we seek to emulate,
and as part of the triune God the focus of our worship and praise.
We humbly acknowledge that “God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Across the heartland and around the globe refers to the
arenasin which we will radiate the Light of the World, and
our responsibility to fulfill the mandate of Acts 1:8.

For the purpose of transforming lives (making disciples)
acknowledges the central focus of The Great Commission
(Matthew 28:19-20) given by Christ Himself. The goal of our
churches is more than seeing people “saved” it is seeing
them genuinely transformed (II Corinthians 5:17) so that our
neighborhoods, cities, state, nation, and world will be
genuinely transformed.
